Complete Heart Health: Part I
Healthy Arteries: it is more than just cholesterol, the role of inflammation in arterial health
The Res-Q product line offers a more complete approach to total cardiovascular health. We know that cardiovascular health is about more than just cholesterol. There are other areas that should not be ignored. These other areas of cardiovascular health are gaining more attention and should be inclusive of our cholesterol lowering regimen.
By examining multiple factors for good heart health, we can offer our customers more ways to help maintain healthy arteries and a strong heart, for a more complete, total look at cardiovascular health: the big picture. Cholesterol is only one piece of the puzzle.
You may be aware of the importance of having healthy cholesterol levels. You may even be aware of the role that cholesterol plays with regard to maintaining healthy arteries, but are you aware of the role of inflammation with regard to heart health?
Although there are many topics and many ways to help maintain healthy arteries, let’s look at the topic of inflammation. In 2005, medical news reported that C-Reactive protein may be comparable to LDL cholesterol as an indicator of recurrent coronary events. One report published in the New England Journal of Medicine, suggested maintaining “CRP levels less than 2mg/L” in addition to maintaining healthy LDL cholesterol numbers. The reduced rate of arterial build up was attributed to reductions of both inflammation (crp) and cholesterol (LDL).
According to the American Heart Association, “C-reactive protein (CRP) is one of the acute phase proteins that increase during systemic inflammation. It’s been suggested that testing CRP levels in the blood may be an additional way to assess cardiovascular disease risk.”

Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to help balance out the inflammatory response produced by the body. A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, concluded that taking enough omega-3 from fish oil, decreased production of an inflammatory protein and compound involved in the inflammatory immune response. This means that supplementing with omega-3 can help correct and balance the body’s inflammatory response helping to balance out excess inflammation.
You may already realize the role that inflammation plays in our health, such as those everyday aches and pains, but do you know that inflammation is also a villain to healthy arteries?
It seems that more is involved in maintaining healthy arteries, than just maintaining a cholesterol level that is already within normal range. As mentioned in Time Magazine, Chronic inflammation can “destabilize cholesterol deposits in the coronary arteries.” The article also pointed out that people with normal cholesterol levels were having heart attacks.
The research shows us that anyone maintaining cholesterol levels already within a normal range, can improve their cardiovascular health by adding Res-Q 1250, our pure and potent source of the omega-3 fatty acids to their cholesterol regimen, and possibly add years to their life.
To help maintain healthy arteries, research suggests that maintaining a healthy inflammation level, is just as important as maintaining a healthy cholesterol level, especially in high risk populations and for those taking statin medications.

Omega-3 Intake beneficial during pregnancy
Researchers in Detroit, Michigan, conducted a study to learn more about the role of DHA, a good fat, an omega-3 fatty acid, on growth and development.
In a new study, the DHA content in umbilical-cord blood , an omega-3 fatty acid was linked to better “brain and eye development at the ages of 6 months and 11 months”1
Newborn cord blood containing higher levels of DHA at birth was linked to better performance on tests for visual acuity and memory at 6 months of age, and cognitive and motor development at 11 months.
Since pregnant women are advised to avoid large fish like swordfish and shark due to mercury levels, a safe way to ensure that you are getting DHA while pregnant is to take a highly purified form of fish oil that has been molecularly distilled to ensure that the final product does not contain harmful levels of mercury that are found in the fish. This way, beneficial omega-3 fatty acids like DHA can be obtained without risk of mercury.
Res-Q 1250, our adult cardiovascular health formulation of EPA and DHA, undergoes a multi-step patented molecular distillation purification process to ensure the highest standards for purity and potency. When compared to other brands, Res-Q 1250 delivers two to four times more EPA and DHA per just one capsule. Res-Q 1250 is also available in our original all natural lemon flavored liquid. We also deliver a better cost per 1 gram of DHA and EPA, and convenience plans and special promotional offerings to allow our customers to take a quality product at a reasonable price thereby helping them better the health of their lives. Our customers continue to give EPA/DHA to their children as they grow to maintain proper nutrition for brain health.
Res-Q 1250, provides cardiovascular health benefits by providing the optimal 3 grams of EPA and DHA that is recommended for maintaining specific cardiovascular health benefits like a normal triglyceride level, to help balance the dietary inflammatory response, and to continue to maintain a cholesterol level that is within the normal range. Our adults take the 3 grams per day for heart health, and children ages 1-12 take less; children may take 1 gram per day for general health, brain function, and growth.
If you are pregnant, might become pregnant, or are breastfeeding, discuss Res-Q 1250 with your doctor. Research studies indicate that DHA intake during the third trimester of pregnancy may be very important. We recommend that pregnant women discuss with their doctor recommendations on what dosage to take during pregnancy.
This news could make omega-3 fatty acids like DHA, one of the most important nutrients to choose to supplement the diet with when pregnant, especially considering, it is next to impossible to achieve higher levels of DHA, due to the recent advisories that pregnant women limit omega-3 from fish intake due to mercury levels; blood levels of mercury during pregnancy were linked to poor test performance in babies.

How does Res-Q TrimSystem help control appetite?
Res-Q TrimSystem contains Hoodia, which may help support appetite control. Hoodia gordonii is a desert plant consumed for centuries by natives of the Kalahari Desert of South Africa to prevent hunger during long journeys. Scientists discovered that Hoodia sends a message to the brain that you are full even when you have not had anything to eat. We use the 20:1 Hoodia extract, meaning 20 times more potent than regular Hoodia, and we use the aerial parts of the plant, the active part. All Res-Q products are analyzed, tested, inspected, and encapsulated in an inspected facility following FDA guidelines, current good manufacturing practices, which ensures the amounts on the label for consistent results.
Another way that Res-Q TrimSystem helps control appetite is by including the right combination of minerals that function as co-factors of insulin to aid your efforts to help maintain a healthy blood sugar when used as part of the diet plan. Elevated blood sugar levels increase binging and cravings. The more you eat, the more you want to eat more, which might explain why so many of us are overweight. By keeping the blood sugar levels within a normal range, you can reduce the urge to eat. You can help achieve this by taking Res-Q TrimSystem to give you all the right minerals to aid in proper blood sugar metabolism support, and by following a healthy diet plan, limiting those carbohydrates which can only increase the blood sugar levels and inhibit weight loss.

How does Res-Q TrimSystem encourage fat breakdown and discourage fat accumulation?
The combination of various all natural plant and fruit extracts safely and effectively increase the body's normal metabolic rate, the rate at which calories are burned, and help promote the breakdown of fat and reduce body fat formation. Another way to help encourage fat breakdown is by maintaining a healthy blood sugar level. Res-Q TrimSystem contains all the right minerals to help maintain a healthy blood sugar level when used as part of the diet. Supporting the regulation of normal blood sugar levels, encourages the body to draw on fat reserves for energy, and weight loss occurs. I was reading an interesting statement from Prevention, "...when blood sugar rises too fast, your cells actually LOCK OUT the extra sugar swimming around in your blood. To clear it from the blood, the body pumps out extra amounts of the hormone insulin, which users sugar out of your blood and into storage as fat. And what "into storage" really means is more fat on your hips....your belly....your thighs..." This helps us to understand the weight loss concept as it relates to the Res-Q TrimSystem. Res-Q TrimSystem can help with any diet plan, and encourage body fat loss by encouraging the body to break down fats for energy faster. Unlike other fat burners, Res-Q TrimSystem contains only safe ingredients and is an ephedra-free product.
If your primary interest is a supplement that would help support your weight loss program, then Res-Q TrimSystem is the product you would be interested in.
If your primary interest is help with maintaining a healthy blood sugar level, as part of a diet plan, then Res-Q 105, pumpkin pentose, would be the primary product for you.
However, Res-Q TrimSystem can be used with Res-Q 105 as part of the diet, for better management of both weight loss and maintaining blood sugar levels that are within the normal range.

New Study shows that Green tea helps burn fat
The added sugar found in many Green tea beverages could impede the benefits of the Green tea, and negate the claims of weight loss. Do not assume that drinking a high sugar drink will help you lose weight simply because it is Green tea. Elevated blood sugar levels signal the body to not release fat for energy, preventing weight loss.

People taking statins, also need CoQ10
It is important to take a CoQ10 supplement with a statin, a specific type of cholesterol lowering pharmaceutical medication that inhibits cholesterol production in the liver via HMG-CoA Reductase.
Did you know...
Lovastatin, a popular drug medication, has been shown to deplete CoQ10 in rats and in humans.
Treatment with Pravachol and Zocor, statin drug medications, lowered blood levels of CoQ10 in humans. Although cholesterol was lowered, CoQ10 was also lowered.
CoQ10 has “antioxidative properties” and promotes celluar energy.
Inhibiting the “biosynthesis” of cholesterol can also inhibit the “biosynthesis” of CoQ10. Therefore, it would be wise to supplement with CoQ10 when taking anything that inhibits the enzyme involved in the production of cholesterol in the liver, such as a statin medication.
In Summary:
Statin medications have been shown to lower CoQ10 levels. It would be wise to take a CoQ10 supplement when taking a statin. Res-Q CellPower contains CoQ10 and other heart healthy antioxidants. Since CoQ10 is essential for healthy muscles, this may reduce muscle related side effects from the medications. CoQ10 also helps heart function, which is also important to maintaining cardiovascular health. Heart health is about more than just cholesterol. Even if your cholesterol is lowered, supplementing with CoQ10 helps inhibit the oxidation of cholesterol, to help maintain healthy arteries.
Res-Q CellPower is recommended for anyone taking a statin medication.
Res-Q 1250 is also important for anyone taking a statin medication.

The advantages of No-Flush Niacin
Our customers can enjoy the many healthy benefits of Niacin. Niacin has been shown in clinical studies to increase HDL cholesterol, the good cholesterol that encourages a clean cardiovascular system. Niacin promotes circulation, which is very important to heart health. Niacin has also been shown to encourage the production of a larger cholesterol size. The smaller cholesterol particles, have been shown to be more harmful to healthy arteries than large ones.
Niacin is so good for heart health, that we suggest taking Res-Q HDL+, along with Res-Q LDL-x2 with Niacin, Res-Q 1250, and Res-Q CellPower for a more complete approach to maintaining a healthy cardiovascular system.
Taking more niacin provides better results with the good cholesterol called HDL, maintaining a cholesterol level that is within the normal range, circulation, and overall cholesterol and cardiovascular wellness. This is another reason to take Res-Q HDL+ in addition to Res-Q LDL-x2 with Niacin, and Res-Q 1250.
Since your physician is most familiar with your medical history, we recommend that you review taking the dosage of Res-Q HDL+ and all supplements with your physician prior to use.

Res-Q Resveratrol
Resveratrol, found in the skin of red grapes, and an active ingredient in red wine, has multiple well known benefits for cardiovascular health and helps promote a longer life span.
I always heard that red wine was good for cardiovascular health. Knowing more about the scientific research on resveratrol has helped me to discover the healthy benefits found in nature’s red grape skins.
Scientists have identified, isolated, and studied a natural compound in red wine called resveratrol. Resveratrol is responsible for the following cardiovascular health benefits: circulation, balanced inflammatory response, and blood vessel health. However, these health benefits indentified in clinical studies were produced from amounts of resveratrol that far exceed the amount found in naturally in red wine. Therefore, these benefits can be expected by taking resveratrol as a supplement form that delivers a potency level that can not be obtained from drinking red wine.
Here are some of the benefits:
Studies on resveratrol show that cholesterol that has become oxidized or chemically altered promotes the inflammatory process harming the blood vessel wall. Resveratrol has been shown in studies to promote blood vessel function and circulation by promoting the relaxation of the blood vessel and by inhibiting the oxidation of cholesterol, also balancing the inflammation in the blood. Furthermore, by relaxing the blood vessel, circulation and blood flow to the heart is improved.
Res-Q Resveratrol also contributes to cell health and function, and may promote a longer life span. Resveratrol produces cellular changes associated with an increase in the life span. Resveratrol has been shown in studies to dramatically increase the lifespan of many living things. This is quite an exciting view of the science of living longer.
Res-Q Resveratrol is tested to ensure potency and purity and does not contain the harmful pesticides associated with grapes.
Resveratrol also helps support a healthy immune system, maintain healthy cellular function and a healthy brain, which helps us to stay in good health.
These particular health benefits provided by the resveratrol supplement, can not be achieved by drinking a glass or two or three of red wine. In fact, you would have to drink 50 or more glasses of red wine to get the equivalent amount of resveratrol found in Res-Q Resveratrol.
Now, without the calories, and the dangers of alcohol, you can enjoy nature’s good health longevity secret, resveratrol. For good health and longevity, the research points to supplementing with resveratrol.
For overall cardiovascular health, it would be a good idea to take Res-Q Resveratrol along with Res-Q 1250, our pure and potent omega-3 supplement; omega-3’s have been shown in studies to encourage living longer for those with prior heart problems.

Res-Q Trim System: A More Complete Weight Loss
“Dietary guidelines” are included in the Res-Q TrimSystem box along with two supplements to enhance your weight loss program: Res-Q TS1 and Res-Q TS2. Take one caplet of Res-Q TS1 with one caplet of Res-Q TS2 prior to breakfast and dinner.
Unlike other weight loss products which only deliver help in one area, work only one way, or include only one ingredient, Res-Q TrimSystem promotes weight loss multiple ways by encouraging body fat reduction, supporting an increase in the rate of normal metabolism to support the body in its ability to burn more calories, promoting a reduced carbohydrate absorption, and by decreasing hunger and cravings.
Did you know that maintaining a healthy blood sugar level, rather than an elevated one reduces hunger and cravings?1 How do you achieve this? First of all, by following the dietary guidelines include in the Res-Q Trim System, reducing some sugar intake from unhealthy foods, you can achieve a healthy blood sugar level, rather than an elevated one. Second, Various minerals in Res-Q TrimSystem help maintain a healthy blood sugar level by aiding in the normal bodily function of blood sugar transport out of the blood and into the cells to be burned for energy. We also use natural ingredients like white kidney bean extract, and beta-glucans, a special type of fiber, to help reduce the amount of complex carbohydrates aborbed, and help slow carbohydrate absorption. Maintaining normalized blood sugar and insulin levels, not only help reduce in between meal cravings so you eat less, but also encourages the breakdown of fats for use as energy, allowing for weight loss and body fat reduction. Last but not least, Hoodia, a desert plant, and Garcinia cambogia, a fruit extract, help promote a full feeling and suppress appetite.
The right combination of various natural plant and fruit extracts, and well known weight loss ingredients such as calcium and green tea, work safely and naturally to provide multiple weight loss benefits such as: boosting the rate of normal metabolism, inhibiting the formation of body fat, encouraging body fat reduction, and helping to prevent carbohydrates from turning into body fat.
Unlike other products, we do not include harsh stimulants at high levels. We include only the best ingredients: safe, science based ingredients for a more complete weight loss product.
We recommend that you consult your physician before beginning an exercise program, or taking a new supplement.
