Why take that many Res-Q 1250 capsules per day?

One of the most commonly asked Res-Q questions is, “Why do you take so many Res-Q capsules per day?”

The answer is, “Because this is what works.”

Res-Q 1250 is highly concentrated. Even if you took one capsule a day of the most concentrated marine oil product on the market like Res-Q 1250, you would still get a better value for your dollar. It would take 12 capsules of the typical low-potency fish oil capsules to equal 6 capsules of Res-Q 1250.

Res-Q 1250 delivers health benefits that you can't get by taking one capsule of fish oil. I usually ask, “What health benefit are you interested in?” For example, taking 6 Res-Q 1250 capsules per day can reduce triglycerides. The triglycerides are an important part of the total cholesterol. If the triglycerides are high, then the total cholesterol number will also be high, and a lot of people are looking at their total cholesterol number as well as their triglyceride number.

Scientific research shows that you need 3 grams of these omega-3 fatty acids per day, which is equal to 3,000 milligrams. Taking just one or two fish oil capsules per day is not even going to come close to this amount.

As published in the Journal of the American Heart Association, “Fish oil can have a therapeutic role in the treatment of marked hypertriglyceridemia (>750 mg/dL). Effective doses of omega-3 fatty acids range from 3 to 5 g/d, which can only be obtained consistently by supplementation.” - AHA Scientific Statement, Circulation, a Journal of the American Heart Association.

As published in the research notebook of the January/February 2003 issue of the Food and Drug Administration’s Consumer Magazine, “People who have elevated triglycerides may need two grams to four grams of EPA and DHA per day provided as a supplement, according to the new guidelines.”
