Are you taking a statin medication for cholesterol?

If so, you should be taking an omega-3 supplement.

A randomized placebo controlled clinical study revealed when 4 grams of omega-3 EPA/DHA was added to statin drug therapy, the triglycerides were reduced by almost 30%!

Obviously statin drugs are not enough. Adding beneficial nutrients to a statin drug improves the outcome.

Taking omega-3 EPA and DHA did not raise the LDL cholesterol, and it is interesting to note that after 8 weeks of supplement use, the LDL particle size was larger in the group taking omega-3. It is thought that the size of cholesterol (the size of the LDL), may be important to know, just like the amount of cholesterol, the cholesterol number (Example: LDL, non-HDL, and Total Cholesterol). A larger cholesterol size may be less likely to harm the arteries, then a smaller cholesterol size.

Additionally, the non-HDL cholesterol number was lower in the group taking 4 grams of EPA and DHA plus statins, versus the group taking statins plus placebo.

Res-Q 1250 is an omega-3 EPA and DHA supplement specifically formulated to provide the proper balance of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) for optimal cardiovascular health.

Res-Q 1250 promotes:
Healthy Arteries

Jennifer,

Your company contends that 1250 is a "marine" oil, not a "fish" oil. But doesn't 1250 come from fish?

Please tell me the difference between the two.

Thanks much, Ben, a user of 1250 since 7/03. Along with LDLX it cleaned out my arteries and stopped my angina.

Yes, Res-Q 1250 comes from fish. Due to the potency and purity of Res-Q 1250, we wanted to be certain our customers understood the difference. Therefore, we use the term "marine oil." If fish oil is used to describe us, then many use terms like "pharmaceutical grade fish oil" to distinguish the difference. Fish oils sold in most stores, simply encapsulate fish oil. Res-Q oil undergoes a purification process to ensure removal of toxins, and discard as much residual oil as possible leaving a far higher level of EPA and DHA (the active ingredient of fish oil) in the capsule. It is not just another fish oil capsule, and we want that message to be clear. You may want to read the Res-Q 1250 link at right under labels or the posting, Is "Res-Q 1250 a fish oil supplement?", for more information.

Information on high blood pressure can be found on this blog at the right hand side bar, under "I want more info on" - click on the link for Res-Q 1250 - there is an article on that page, citing clinical studies, and giving more information. It is important to work with your doctor for treatment, but doing the most for your heart muscle can only help you.
